Who Are The Irish Dolls?
Irish Dolls in London is a close knit community dedicated to Irish women living in London. We’re more than just a social group. We’re a support network, a cultural hub and a circle of friends who lift each other up. Since 2018, we’ve brought together thousands of women from every corner of Ireland to celebrate our shared heritage whilst living and working in London, build lasting friendships and bond during monthly events and retreats.

Irish Dancing Partner
I founded Jig and a Swig in 2020 as a way to offer people a connection to Irish culture and a sense of community in London.
Most of my very first students came from the Irish Dolls in London Facebook group, and since then we have taught over 900 people to Irish Dance through Jig and a Swig, with 200 regulars coming every week, and countless friendships formed.
I am now in the fortunate position to pursue my passion for Irish dance as my full-time career. So much of this is owed to the early involvement of the Irish Dolls in London community, Gemma's support, and for so many Irish women taking the brave step to get involved, try something new and meet new people.
Looking forward to many more jigs and swig together in the years ahead!

The Irish Dolls in London has been a fantastic group to be part of since my move to London in August 2018 for both professional and personal reasons!
I moved to London around then leaving my job in Ireland after 15 years. I only knew my boyfriend moving here and wanted to work for myself to give me freedom to travel home whenever I wanted. I also needed to make a new group of friends!
This group helped me grow J&K Hairdressing from having no clients to now having my own salon...
This group has been the foundation of my business and I will forever be grateful to Gemma for giving me the opportunity to promote myself within the group.
Personally I have made some lifelong friends from this group and have enjoyed getting to know London with many fun nights out with a lot of the lovely girls from the group.
